RECIPE - Moist and Fluffy Mile High Biscuits


Ingredients:
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup butter 
1 egg, beaten
1 1/8 cups milk

Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients.

Cut in shortening and butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add egg and milk.
Mix until dough forms a ball.

Turn dough out on a lightly floured surface and knead 10- 12 times.

Roll out to 1-1 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut with a floured biscuit cutter.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake at 475 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until light brown.
