RECIPE - Chocolate Buttermilk Bread


Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2/3 to 3/4 cup sugar in the raw
1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350F. 
Grease a 9x5" loaf pan. 
Set aside.

In a mixing bowl add the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Whisk to combine.

In a separate bowl lightly beat the egg. 
Add the buttermilk, yogurt and melted butter and stir to combine.

Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ones.
Mix until just combined. 
Do not over-mix.

Spoon the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
Leave to cool slightly in the loaf pan before removing.
Cool completely before slicing.
